Arizona State University’s CareerCatalyst provides online learning opportunities for individuals in the workforce or entering the workforce.

• Courses range from a variety of topics to add to or enhance your current skills. Digital badges are often awarded for individual course completion.
• An ASU Certificate of Completion is a compilation of many skills or sequenced courses. Often referred to as a bundle of courses, this Certificate of Completion demonstrates a learner has mastered a concept that contained multiple skills. A Certificate of Completion can be obtained by taking more than one course on the same skill or completing a culmination of experiences. A certificate program is a series of courses that combine advanced knowledge on a given subject.
• An ASU Professional Certificate is considered a large offering that spans over an extended period of time. This Professional Certificate represents a learner's mastery of a topic and is often displayed through an examination or project-based capstone. An ASU Professional Certificate demonstrates a learner’s competency and deep knowledge of the topic. An ASU Professional Certificate can be obtained by taking a program similar to the hours required for credit-bearing courses.

ASU CareerCatalyst programs are open to anyone who wants to register. If you’re looking to gain new skills for your current job, want to obtain new skills to work towards a promotion, or even want to change jobs completely, there are courses for you.

No. ASU CareerCatalyst offerings do not require an application and you do not need any prerequisites to participate.

This is a list of basic computer system requirements to use Canvas, the platform that hosts ASU’s CareerCatalyst courses. It’s always recommended to use the most up-to-date versions of operating systems and have a reliable internet connection. Canvas will still run with the minimum specifications, but you may experience slower loading times.

Canvas and its hosting infrastructure are designed for maximum compatibility and minimal requirements.

Screen Size:-
Canvas is best viewed at a minimum resolution of 800x600. If you want to view Canvas on a device with a smaller screen, we recommend using the Canvas mobile app.

ASU CareerCatalyst is a new product that requires a new sign-up. Complete the registration form on this page and use the same email you use in Canvas. This will ensure your existing Canvas account merges with your new ASU CareerCatalyst account.
Note: You will need to create a new password.

ASU CareerCatalyst is dedicated to providing an exceptional course and learning experience. By submitting this form, our team will provide a review process that is sensitive to a learner’s life circumstance and individual needs. If we find any indication that we failed to deliver a course experience as promised, we will provide a full refund. In all cases, the CareerCatalyst team is committed to a fair and timely resolution. Learners who receive a refund will be removed from their respective course(s) and will no longer have access to course content.

Risk free refund options:

Self-paced courses:

• Requests received within 14 days of purchase will receive a full refund, must be no more than 50% complete
• After 14 days, you can receive a credit to apply to another course as long as you are no more than 50% complete
• After 60 days, no refunds or credit

Facilitated/scheduled courses:

• Requests received within 7 days of the course start date will receive a full refund, must be no more than 50% complete
• After 7 days, you can receive a credit to apply to another course as long as you are no more than 50% complete
• After 14 days, no refunds or credit

If a course offers professional development units such as CEUs, that will be noted in the “what you’ll receive” section of the course page. For courses with professional development units, instructions on how to claim them will be available on the course information page or at the end of the course.
